Barbara Pollack is a writer, critic, artist and educator, involved in
contemporary art in New York since 1986. She has shown her
photographs and videos in galleries and museums across the United
States. Her articles and reviews have appeared in Vanity Fair, the
New York Times, the Washington Post, Departures, Time Out New
York, the Village Voice, Art in America, Art News, Modern Painters
and Art & Auction.
Now considered one of the leading experts in the field of Chinese
contemporary art, Pollack has been covering China's booming art
scene since the late-1990s. For this work, she has received grants
from the Asian Cultural Council and the Andy Warhol Creative Capital
Foundation.
